The
Stay is
situated in a secluded
valley roughly half
way between Narooma
and Tilba. It is
also at the base
of Gulaga/ Mt Dromedary
which provides a
stunning backdrop
to the forests and
gardens.
The Stay
is central to everything
the Tilba region
has to offer but
far enough away
from everyone else
to feel like you
are in your own
private world.
Travelling from
the south, The
Stay can
be accessed by driving
through the village
of Central Tilba
and continuing until
the intersection
of Tilba-Punkalla
Road and Ridge Road.
(About 5 kms).
Turn left down Tilba-Punkalla
Road (unsealed)
and continue for
about 4kms until
you see the Armitage
Road sign on your
right. Drive down
Armitage Road following
the red 'T's
on trees until you
reach The
Stay at
the end of the road
(3 kms).
From Narooma
there are two
picturesque routes
to The
Stay.
One is along the
Scenic Drive and
Engine Rd after
turning onto The
Old Highway
off the Princes
Highway (just
south of the township).
The other option
is to continue
along The Old
Highway
and then taking
Tebbs Rd.
(Note:
You need to actually
turn off The Old
Highway
onto Lilyvale
Place before taking
Tebbs Rd but this
arrangement is
clearly signaled
on the Old Highway
with a 'To Tebbs
Rd' sign.
Tebbs Rd joins
Engine Rd just
before the turn
off to Armitage
Rd and The
Stay.
