The Stay
has been designed as an adult retreat for two.
We don’t even take pets.

The 4 Green Stars is an independent accreditation that recognizes Peter and Kathryn’s commitment to providing sustainable accommodation.
The 4 Stars indicates the level of comfort provided - more details

Q3 - Does The Stay have any views?

There are picture postcard views all over the property. When you’re relaxing inside The Stay you can look out across rolling farmland to the sea from your lounge room or bedroom. Outside you can experience one of the many great views of Gulaga the Mother/Mt. Dromedary and Nachanuka/Little Dromedary along The Stay’s bushwalks.

Q4 - Do your prices go up in the peak season?

No. The prices listed on our website are the same midweek, weekend, high and low seasons. In fact, for the quality of accommodation, facilities and service, we doubt that you’ll find a better price anywhere on the coast » see tarrifs

Q5 - We just want to get away for a private weekend, will there be crowds?

Whether you’re in your courtyard, wandering through the organic gardens or exploring the bushwalks, your partner and you will only be sharing the property with your hosts, Peter and Kathryn.

Q6 - Are there cooking facilities?

The Stay has a full gas kitchen as well as a gas barbecue in your courtyard.

Q7 - When we go away we don’t feel like cooking but we still like to eat well. Is there anywhere we can get a good evening meal?

Narooma has some good restaurants but if you don’t feel like going out, Peter and Kathryn have an extensive Slow Food Evening menu that caters for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. They even deliver your meal to your table.
See the Stay menu for more details.

Q8– We’d like to sleep in late. Is there a set time for breakfast?

Kathryn and Peter appreciate that most people enjoy a late start to the day at The Stay so you are provided a choice of breakfast hampers which are replenished daily. That way you decide when you have breakfast.

Q9 – Can I use the solar power to charge my phone?

Yes. The Stay’s stand-alone solar power system can handle many electrical devices. The system won’t take high energy users like toasters, electric coffee makers, jugs, large hairdryers and irons. We can provide a lower wattage iron and hairdryer if required and coffee, tea and toast can be made using the gas stove.

Q10– Does The Stay have a TV?

Yes, it does have a TV as well as Video/DVD player and CD/MP3 player. It also has a selection of DVDs and videos, as well as music CDs and tapes provided free of charge. If you’d rather read, there are also books, magazines and local newspapers.
For the playful types, there are games as well.
Q11 – What time is Check-in and Check-out?

Check-in is after 2pm so that we have time to prepare the cottage.
Check-out is 10am. We can arrange a later time (11am) if we don’t have guests arriving that day. Check with us the afternoon before you leave.

Q12 – Do I have to provide linen?

The Stay has everything you need, from quality linen and towels to toiletries (and with a two night stay, complimentary slippers).
Q13 – Are there many activities outside The Stay?

The local area is renowned for its beautiful geographic features including pristine beaches and waterways, stunning bushwalks, Montague Island Whale Watching and Gulaga Mountain. There’s also golf, fishing, kayaking, cycling, and an indoor heated Olympic pool in Narooma - as well as shopping at the National Trust listed villages of Tilba. All within a 15 minutes drive.
