Q1: What sort of views does Karibu have?

A1: Karibu is situated in a fantastic position overlooking the Wagonga Inlet and also enjoys views to the South to Mt Dromedary. From the fabulous mezzanine bedroom you can lie in bed and look down across the inlet. A great way to start the day!

Q2: How is Karibu equipped for longer stays?

A2: Karibu cottage has a full kitchen with plenty of storage space.  It also has a washing machine, laundry trough and undercover, outdoor, clothesline.

Q3: What about Karibu’s location?

A3: Karibu Cottage is located at Pub Hill Farm, which has over one and a half  kilometres of water frontage. The cottage is secluded without being isolated and you never need set eyes on another person during your stay.

Q4: Are there walks on the  farm?

A4: The farm is 250 acres and there are plenty of walks, both on the waterfront and through the hinterland forest.

Q5: Can we fish?

A5: Certainly. You can throw in a line from the creek bank just below the cottage.  If you have a small boat, kayak or canoe, these can be launched in the creek, which runs into the Wagonga Inlet depending on the tide.  Bring your catch back and cook it on the barbecue!

Q6: I see you are pet friendly.  What sort of pets can we bring?

A6: We are indeed pet friendly and have, in fact, just been awarded the “Life Be In It” 5 Paw award for the Best Dog Friendly Accommodation in NSW , for the FIFTH time.

All pets are welcome of course, not just dogs, and many guests have brought their horses and enjoyed fabulous riding in the adjacent forest.  Miles and miles of quiet, traffic-free,  forest tracks are available for riders or just for walking the dogs.

Q7: What facilities do you provide for dogs?

A7: Your dog CAN be inside the cottage with you but not on the furniture.  In addition there is a covered and fenced enclosure running the length of the cottage, should you wish to confine the dog  for any reason.
The creek at the bottom of the hill is a wonderful place for dogs to swim, being shallow and with a sandy bottom.

Q8: How many dogs can we bring?

A8: As long as the dogs are under control and do not bark incessantly (sound carries across the water and there ARE neighbours even if a long way off) we do not limit the number of dogs you can bring.

Q9: Is there mobile phone reception at Karibu?

A9: YES.  Excellent reception for Telstra (the tower is visible from the farm), good for Optus but not the best for Vodaphone.

Q10: What can we do if it rains?

A10: Karibu has a digital TV, a DVD player and  a CD player and radio.
There are dozens of books and magazines and a huge selection of movies and CDs.  Also a few  board games if you are feeling competitive!

Q11: Is there good bird watching?

A11: This is a top spot for bird watching with well over one hundred species sighted on the farm or in the adjacent forest.  A bird list is provided and  you are encouraged to add to it if you spot something new.
