Ander Open Garden
is situated right
next to the beach
just north of the
popular fishing
and tourism village
of Bermagui. It
is only ten minutes
drive south from
from Tilba and is
a colourful and
interesting addition
to any day-trip
to enjoy the beautiful
blue waters of Bermagui.
Le Ander Open Garden
is situated on a
working farm and
is built around
the existing farmhouse.
Open sweeping tracts
of lawn are bordered
and interspersed
with swathes of
colour almost all
year round. many
visitors return
seasonally to see
the transformation
in the garden beds.
During spring thousands
of tulips and daffodils
burst into bloom,
together with a
myriad of other
bulbs such as hyacinths,
hippeastrums, day
lilies, anemones
and scented freesias.
The summer floral
display presents
bright, vigorous
colours with larkspurs,
New Zealand Christmas
bush, day lilies,
hippeastrums, agapanthus
and hibiscus. Le
Ander Open Garden
also features a
magnificent rose
garden.
In autumn the summer
varieties continue
to flourish and
are joined by many
other plants bursting
into glorious shades.
There is a bush
house and 'secret
garden' to explore,
or just sit back
by the blue water
and soak in the
atmosphere. It is
the ideal garden
to bring a picnic
rug and hamper and
just relax.
